Bondi Experience Lab
Hung & Up
green aromatic drink
The unique essences of Antonella Bondi meet the quality of the products of Ancient Quaglia Distillery to give life to a line composed of four unique products, built to offer an unforgettable sensory experience.
A unique experiment for a drink experience unexpected and with surprising olfactory nuances.
THE KIND – APERITIF
A base composed of a bouquet of orange blossom, bitter orange, dog rose, Turkish rose, Piedmont crisp mint, grapefruit for a total of 32 aromatic notes.
A sip of The Gentle takes us directly to those perfect moments; leads us through flower fields and citrus groves. The essences of each spread in the air, are breathed and become harmony to the mind and palate.
In the mouth it is extremely fine, clean, not too persistent: it disappears with class, remaining faithful to its nature of courtly excellence.
It tells of a fertile nature of fertile territories that express all their strength through sweet, aromatic, subtle nuances. Thus, they become elegant, fragrant, light yet lively taste.
THE ALLEGRO – LIQUEUR
Inspired by a ratafià, this liqueur leads intensely to a Mediterranean different from any possible stereotype: not the sunny, suffocating, even excessive one of the chaotic and crowded summer, of the heat that dries up all strength. Imagine instead a beautiful day at the end of winter in Southern Italy, perhaps on the Sorrento Peninsula: the air is clear, clean, vivid; you can breathe in sweet and citrus notes, faint, harmonious, lively but slender.
This is the aromatic spectrum on which it plays The Allegro, created by accompanying the main notes of Sorrento orange with those of vanilla, mace, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cedar, lemon, black pepper, spiced biscuits, cocoa.
On the nose it is delicate, recalling mandarin; the taste however fully returns a mature citrus, refined, absolutely not aggressive and yet well structured, therefore balanced, smooth, sweet and sparkling, just like the atmosphere we have just described.
The alcoholic complexity is also balanced, with notes perfectly in tune. Long and very clean finish.
THE LIVELY – GIN
A base of juniper berries with intense aromatic notes of Sorrento PGI lemons for a delicate hint of the Italian coast
Vivace is a gin with a strong Mediterranean soul. Its core is the happy meeting between a very fine alcoholic component and the aromatic one, in which the Sorrento PGI lemon and juniper dominate, in turn enriched and made fine by many secondary components: ambrette, zedoary, bergamot, clary sage, mandarin, Sorrento orange, grapefruit, bitter orange and elderberry.
The result is an intense but fresh gin, with salty and mineral notes that marry the citrus ones, in an even sensual union. It is the essence of the sea, to be drunk pure, mixed or – extraordinary – by pouring a few drops on an oyster.
Vivace takes you to the midst of a rushing, almost furious Mediterranean: the waves slap the rocks, the air fills with saltiness, the wind sweeps the nearby citrus groves, so the notes of iodine that reach the nose are combined with those of lemon.
We could be in front of the Sorrento Peninsula, for the typical nuances of orange and lemon but also between Scylla and Charybdis, on the Strait of Messina, between the waves of the two fighting seas.
THE SURPRISING – BITTER
Think of a Mediterranean port, where the scents of East and West, the aromas of North and South converge.
We are in Trieste. On one side the roasted notes of coffee, which are at home here; on the other the fresh-bitter from the gentian that comes down from the nearby Alps; and again, this time from the South come the nuances of citrus, while from the East those of spices.
Finding a perfect balance of taste between all these components would be… surprising. And in fact, this is called Surprising adult bitter, with a great personality. It is characterized by the subtle roasted aroma of coffee that meets, precisely on a bitter base, the notes of mandarin, gentian, sweet orange, quassio, ginger, cedar, plus the essences of roasted coffee, espresso coffee and dark chocolate.
The result is “naked”, almost erotic; straight and enveloping at the same time, soft, sinuous. The bitter notes blend with the alcoholic ones and these with the aromatic counterpoints that give on the sweet, with a hint of acidity. Can a sharp velvet exist? Yes: it is Surprising.
